The standout feature is the infinity pool on the sixth floor, with wide-open views of the Caribbean Sea and the iconic Castle of the Three Kings of Morro. Sunset from up there is unforgettable. The hotel is also well placed in central Havana for exploring the historic sights. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly, whether at reception, in the restaurant, or by the pool. Service consistently met five-star standards. Breakfast had a solid range of good options to suit different tastes, much like other international five-star hotels, though nothing especially unique. Iberostar Grand Packard is widely seen as one of Havana's most luxurious hotels, with rooms averaging around $200 a night. It's a strong choice for travelers looking for comfort, views, and high-end service in the heart of the city.

The rooms felt a little neglected. There was mold in the shower, water was trickling into the room because of sealing problems, and the WiFi kept cutting out. I'd strongly recommend getting a local SIM. We also had repeated billing problems with drinks, and other guests seemed to have them too. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the terrace had spectacular views. The hotel has a real luxury feel, a great location, and air conditioning, which was a breath of fresh air after a week traveling around Cuba. Breakfast was outstanding, with such a huge selection that you wanted to fill up for later. That's probably wise, because the other half-board restaurant meals were mostly misses. Some dishes were so bad we couldn't touch them. It made me wonder how anyone could mess up instant noodles. The sixth-floor restaurant and pool staff were friendly, though limited English sometimes made communication difficult. During the day, there were lots of staff around, but they often avoided interacting. Maybe it was early in the season and many of the young staff were new. The stay was okay, and we enjoyed the views, but there were enough issues to temper the experience. We were glad to get a Black Friday deal.

The hotel staff took really good care of visitors. The rooms were modern, very clean, and well designed. I also had the freshest and best tuna I've ever eaten at the hotel restaurant. It was great.

I arrived after an 11-hour trip starving and ordered a sandwich and rice. They insisted I pay cash right then. We went downstairs and tried the cards, but they wouldn't take them, then they dragged me downstairs and made me pay on the spot. At 11:30 at night, I didn't have cash. They took away everything I'd ordered and snapped their fingers to get my attention, which was extremely disrespectful. I'm staying four nights at $300 a night, so that didn't seem reasonable. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Having restaurants and attractions within walking distance is a real plus. It's a great hotel, and the staff attend to whatever you might need.
