I’ve stayed here at least once a year since 2001 and love the place. It’s close to old Havanna, in a popular district where children play in the streets. The hotel is very cheap and serves a good standard of breakfast. The staff are so friendly that after a few days you’ll get a kiss or hug every morning. You also meet nice, ordinary Cubans staying there.

People forget that Cuba is a poor country, and things won’t always work. We should be grateful to visit a place where people keep striving despite government oppression. It’s good enough! Viva cuba

A very basic hotel in central Havana. The staff are basic too, and don’t speak any language other than Spanish. A meal costs around 10 dollars.

The shower had no hot water, which made for a horrible stay. My corner room was awful, not fit for decent living, and the wall had cracks. Come on, it was a shame.
