Beautiful place.

Havana's Malecón has changed from a recreational and defensive waterfront into a major road, and that shift has brought serious problems with aging buildings. Its story runs from the late 19th century to today. The review also covers rehabilitation rules and master plans meant to protect heritage, improve residents' living conditions, and address pollution and flooding. It describes traditional homes and their facade styles, along with land-use rules intended to support tourism and culture. Preserving the area's identity as climate and time take their toll will require sustainable management.
The Malecón has a special charm and gives you views of other Havana neighborhoods. It's one of the city's defining landmarks. Some buildings are clearly run down, and when storms hit, waves can wash over it because the street is so low.
It's a huge bench where you can sit, meditate, think, fall in love, laugh, or have a drink to the music. This is a classic Havana spot, full of love, music, adolescence, tears, hardship, and joy.
I knew the Malecón from films, documentaries, and music videos with Old Havana in the background, and visiting this legendary Havana spot was something I'd wanted to do for ages. The waves crash with such force that the spray hits you and your camera, making it a real photo challenge. You can exercise, walk, or just sit and take in Havana, smelling and feeling the city.
