Meliá Cohiba

This was my fourth stay, and the rooms are still great and spacious. The staff do their best to make sure you’re enjoying your time here. Thanks especially to Rocio for the attention she gave us. Sometimes the shows leave water on the floors, but that’s about the only issue.

What made our stay worse was the dismissive, rude response from staff. Management showed no concern or proper explanation, and their investigation felt completely unprofessional. They made excuses instead of treating the matter as a serious safety breach. On two separate occasions, people who weren’t authorized entered our rooms, once while someone was inside. On another occasion, food had been eaten, drinks were gone, and personal belongings were missing. For a so-called five-star luxury hotel, the lack of proper security procedures for unauthorized entry or theft is unacceptable. This place is overpriced and unsafe, and I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone. The staff’s attitude was shocking.

I’ve been staying at Cohiba since last summer, and the service has been excellent. The food is amazing, and the rooms are tidy and really comfortable. I’ve had the best experience here. When I leave, I won’t stay anywhere but Meliá Cohiba. Thank you!

The hotel was clean overall, and the basic amenities were there to keep us comfortable. The staff seemed uninterested during our visit, though the country was going through a turbulent time, which may explain their behavior. Near the end of our stay, guest services pushed our group hard to leave five-star reviews. I suspect many of those five-star ratings came from that pressure.
