The garden is gorgeous, and having breakfast there was lovely. It was delicious, with fresh fruit and juice, Cuban coffee, bread, and eggs. The staff, Pedro y Claudia, were especially attentive, respectful, and friendly, and the room was enormous and comfortable. Everything was clean. This beautiful 1900 house in Vedado, Havana, Cuba, feels like an oasis in a city struggling in every way. Its architecture and the art throughout the place, by artist and photographer Enrique Rottenberg, give it a special, unique atmosphere.

The place is overpriced and far from everything. Getting the internet turned on was like pulling teeth, and WiFi isn't included. We thought we were staying in a Cuban-owned home, but it turned out to be owned by foreigners.
