The hotel has potential because of its location, but the management is poor. We arrived from our flight late at night to a room with weak AC and two cockroaches. We were exhausted, so let it go and went to sleep. Breakfast service was disappointing too. We had to fetch our own water, ate quickly, then headed out to enjoy the day. In the afternoon the AC had stopped completely. We showered, thinking we might just be overheated from being in the sun, but there was still no AC or hot water afterwards. My husband went to the Front Desk to ask for another room. Because of an upcoming power outage, the lift wasn't an option, so we carried our luggage down seven floors ourselves. The next room had no AC either. We were moved again to a room that wasn't properly cleaned and still had some belongings from a previous customer, then again to one with a broken fridge. By then I didn't care anymore. It was already 7pm, so I accepted whatever had some AC and a bed. The safe in that room didn't work, and we waited until 10pm for it to be fixed before going out to eat. The Front Desk Manager moved us once more, and this last room was decent. I appreciated that gentleman's help and the cleaning lady who had helped the night before. I'll definitely return to Havana, but next time I'll stay with locals.

We stayed in the first week of July, when temperatures were above 30°C and humidity was 95%, and the room AC never cooled the air despite staff repeatedly saying they'd fixed it. There was no AC in the lobby either. It was torture. The hotel is old and poorly maintained, with peeling wall paint and hallway carpet that looks as if it hasn't been washed in ages. Of the two elevators, one was permanently out of order and the other barely worked. The breakfast buffet was edible, but I'd get there as early as possible. The dining room AC was set quite warm, perhaps 27 or 28°C, which made the safety of some foods questionable.

When I need somewhere peaceful to get work done online, I like coming here. Of all the hotels where I've worked in the Vedado area, this one has the best internet. Someone is always at the door to greet me with a smile, and the customer service is great. I'd definitely recommend it. There's a quiet spot to work and even somewhere to charge your laptop.

We had a wonderful first visit to Havana and really enjoyed our three days here. The staff were always kind and ready to help with whatever we needed. Our room had a pool and sea view, a comfortable bed, and a nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. The food was a highlight: we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, had a spectacular dinner at the on-site restaurant, and loved the poolside fare too. The pizzas were large and delicious. I also loved the sunbathing terrace. On Friday night there was a band playing excellent songs and a lively party by the pool, with lots of dancing. The hotel has a wonderful Cuban flavor throughout. We explored many nearby places and would recommend it for a trip. Thanks to everyone at Roc Presidente for making our Havana visit so perfect.
