The trip from the airport is a long one, but I thought it was worth it. We spent Christmas 2022 there and had a fabulous time. Some of the old Gran Club staff had moved over, including Yurina. I also spotted three familiar Joses, plus Eduardo and Tomas.

My stay from March 20 to 23, 2025 was horrible. At checkout on Sunday the 23rd, they blamed me for taking a quilt from the room. The housekeeper who came to room 817 on Saturday morning, March 22, yelled, “I can’t do it” when I asked if she could come back later. The woman working at the pool bar was extremely rude and kept asking why I wanted so many drinks.

The beach was gorgeous, with fine white sand and calm, crystal-clear water. The pool was big and clean, with music and fun activities throughout the day. The entertainment crew was amazing too, putting on a great new show every night and running activities around the resort during the day. We loved the feel of the place. Brisas isn't too big, which added to the sense of well-being, and the grounds were well kept. They try to keep everything clean, even when some guests don't help. Our room was spacious, with a big bathroom, and the cleaning staff worked hard to keep it in order and help whenever we needed something. There are three à la carte restaurants, a coffee bar, a buffet with good variety, and three bars, including one open 24 hours near the lobby. The food was good, and the staff made the whole stay feel welcoming. Their friendliness and ready smiles made it feel like a second home. This was our first time in Cuba, and we were lucky to find this lovely place. My husband and I had a wonderful time, and we're already planning another visit. We'd recommend giving it a try, because we can see ourselves coming back regularly.

I spent a lot of time relaxing under the beach umbrellas, especially by the bar and snack area right on the beach. The nightly shows from the “Animacion” crew were fun, and you could tell how hard all 20 of them worked to put them together. I tipped every one of them. The staff really appreciate tips, even at an all-inclusive resort, and it's a shame some visitors leave without tipping. The staff were friendly, the food was decent, and there were plenty of choices at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The accommodations weren't bad for Cuba. I enjoyed my stay and will stay at Brisas again when I return to Cuba.

The breakfast was quite nice, but meals beyond that could use more variety, especially in low season. The dining room's dim lighting made some meals feel a bit drab, and you shouldn't expect every service to be available then. Drinks were fine. The beach was the biggest disappointment: it's narrow and covered with seaweed. The workers clear it every day, so that's just nature, but the smell isn't great and the water stays shallow for quite a distance. Still, it's a nice place to relax. The grounds are pleasant to walk around, the resort is well maintained, and the facilities worked as expected. Most staff were friendly, though a few seemed fake and would badmouth you in your presence if they thought you didn't speak much Spanish. One evening barmaid in particular. Our room was very clean apart from two cockroaches that got in through a crack by the door. The toilet seat was missing, but they installed a new one right away. I'd go back for a heavily discounted vacation, but otherwise I'd choose somewhere with a nicer beach.
