Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort

The only small drawback was the Wi-Fi, which wasn't great, but it didn't matter much. The food was surprisingly good, and the resort was spotless, from the rooms and public bathrooms to the pools and beach. I also loved having a separate pool mainly for adults. The staff were fantastic, and the beach was the most beautiful I've seen. We adored our stay and would love to come back. I'd definitely recommend the included catamaran trip with the dolphin swim.

We had another great visit to Fiesta Americana Costa Verde from March 9 to 23, after staying here for the past 10 years. The room was just as it has been on previous trips, and the attentive staff took good care of us. The beach was in fantastic shape, and sailing with Roger was a highlight. He's skilled at the tiller and knows his stuff. The life jackets need replacing, though. As a big guy, I had trouble finding one with working fasteners. A few showers had warm rather than hot water, apparently because of supplier issues. There was no chicken at the buffet this time. Still, I always had a full glass, and I plan to return to see everyone again. The last week was a bit stressful because of the virus.

The service was warm and helpful all week, and the drinks were good, especially the slushies. I went with my boyfriend and a friend for seven days, our first time in Cuba, and we had a great time at this resort. The food was decent given Cuba's reputation. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a beachside stay with friendly service.

The beach was great, the service was nice, and the evening entertainment was good. It's also a nice spot for a family vacation. The food, though, didn't have many options, and the buffet layout was awkward. I slept well at first, but after finding tiny crabs on my sheets on the second night, I couldn't sleep properly. The poolside jacuzzi only worked for the second day. One bartender didn't know how to make some of my drinks, even with the ingredients right in front of him. I'd consider trying it again in high season to see whether the experience is different.
