Playa Pesquero

The entertainment team kept the kids busy, giving the adults a chance to relax, and the resort staff were helpful and accommodating. The trip from the airport takes about an hour, but check-in was quick and trouble-free. Our room was clean, the fridge had a bottle of water, the AC worked well, and repairs were handled promptly. We didn't see mosquitoes or bugs around the resort. Meals were simple, but there was something to eat each time, including eggs, sausages, beef, chicken, potatoes, pasta, cucumbers, carrots, beets, cheese, and cold cuts. The lobby bar coffee was delicious. It's a great place to swim, snorkel, or walk along the beach. I'd come back for sure.

The staff made this an amazing experience, from the beach service to the security team who greeted me each morning. Sonia at the pool was lovely, and Rogelio, the beach lifeguard, was so friendly. Entertainment ran all day, and the disco was fun at night. The beach is long and beautiful, with places to join the crowd or find a quiet spot. The huge pool and resort mean there's a lot of walking. This was my first trip to Playa Pesquero, after visiting other parts of Cuba, and I had no complaints. The resort is older but in good condition. I liked the table service restaurants that didn't need reservations, and I had an omelette at the beer garden each morning. I only used the buffet once. It didn't have many options, which I understand is due to current world events in Cuba, but it didn't affect my vacation.

We've stayed here three times now, and it's still a place we'd happily visit again. The beach is clean, with only small waves, and the resort feels safe for kids to run around. The entertainment team does a great job with children of all ages. Check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were tidy and clean, with working AC, and the repair service was efficient. Wi-Fi worked everywhere, even on the beach. We had eggs and delicious coffee each morning, and as always the staff helped make the stay memorable.

I've spoken with plenty of people who've returned here several times, and I can see why. The resort is 23 years old but well maintained, and it works well for families, couples, or solo travelers like me. The staff are friendly and great. The beach has white sand and clear water, with no weeds or coral in the large swimming area. The pools are beautiful, and one has a swim-up bar. I'll definitely return.
