I had a great sandwich at the lobby bar, and the espresso is well worth trying too. The food is good value for the price. It’s a cozy colonial hotel, very clean, with friendly, helpful staff. I’d definitely recommend it to a friend.

We were the only two people dining that evening, which made sense since it’s now state-run, though it’s a shame to see the place go underused. The colonial-era building dates to 1878 and has been kept in very good condition. Our mixed brochetas with lobster and the rice with meat and fish, which also had pieces of lobster, were cooked well. The lone waiter was warm and friendly. Worth giving it a try.

The hotel is small, and its architecture is really lovely. Everyone working there was very friendly. I just wish there were more places for recreation and more entertainment.
