Santa Clara’s classic sights were all easy to reach on foot from the hostel. The rooms were clean, bright, and well ventilated, and breakfast each morning was a highlight, with delicious omelettes and a great terrace view. Pedro and his team were cheerful, supportive, and quick to help with any challenge during our trip. Everyone was friendly and happy to chat. We’ll likely come back for another short stay on our way back!
The staff were really nice, and the rooms super comfortable. It’s a lovely place in a perfect spot for exploring Santa Clara. If you have time, have breakfast on the beautiful terrace!
My wife and I stayed here with our two daughters in Sept 2016. The room was clean and very quiet, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast on the terrace was a favourite, and they can cook certain foods if you ask them in advanced. The building is nearly a block from the town center, with the boulevard even closer and most of the shops there. We plan to return when we visit Santa Clara again.
Pedro and the whole team were gracious, lovely, and helpful hosts, and staying at the hostal was a real pleasure. It’s comfortable, close to the town square, and has a great terrace for breakfast. I’ll be back in Santa Clara next year and will definitely stay here again.
Breakfast on the roof terrace was delicious and clearly made with care, and the service there was so friendly. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished, too. Hostal Amalia sits on a quiet side street right in central Santa Clara, and Erick and the team made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Erick took time to answer every question and mark good restaurants on our map. Pedro even helped sort out our phone problem, and chatting with him was a pleasure. We'd happily stay at Hostal Amalia again. Muchas gracias!
