The views are great. It suited us because we were traveling with one of the bus lines, and its drivers stayed here.

We were a big family and had rooms 3, 5, 11, and 13. They were all in bad shape and dirty. The bathroom and wardrobe doors were broken, and the refrigerator wasn't plugged in because the right plugs weren't available. We asked the cleaning lady about it, and she said maybe somebody had used it. Around the pool, beer and soda cans were lying about, and there wasn't even a trash can. In the restaurant, there were cats, one with a mouse in its mouth. Really poor service.

Nothing seemed properly maintained, from the gardens and rooms to the other things on offer. The food was reheated, and the beer was warm and expensive. When you raised a problem, it felt like picking a fight: they would end up shouting and even threatening you just for pointing out that something was wrong.

You get a beautiful view of Santiago de Cuba, and there's a spacious ranch-style house for parties. They still need to offer more.
