The shows were pretty good, with dancers who were enthusiastic and skilled. The rooms and swimming pool were fine too. But drinks cost too much, and the buffet was very lacking at both breakfast and dinner. Also, please get the "magician" and the cats out of the dining room. They were really annoying and ruined the experience.

The grounds are beautiful, but I can't recommend staying here. There was no hot water for showers during our two-night stay, and bugs were crawling around under the beds. The rooms are outdated, and the floors looked like they hadn't been swept in a long time. Wi-Fi costs $1 CUC per hour.

Sander, the entertainment host, was excellent. The rest of the experience was very poor: the hotel is extremely tired, and nobody seemed interested in making improvements. Staff were more focused on their phones and working for tips than on guests, with no hotel professionalism anywhere. The chef was on the phone during breakfast, and staff helped themselves to food while guests were eating. People say to visit Cuba before American money spoils it. I'd suggest waiting until it has.

The food was tasty, and we had a great sea view. The hotel is a little way from the town center and uphill. We rented a scooter, and it took about 20 minutes to get to the ocean beach.

We only visited the caves, outside the usual opening hours of the "La Cuevas" bar, and it was still worth it. It's kind of amazing how they adapted the place into a bar while keeping the original cave atmosphere.
