We chose this place for Christmas and New Year's 2023/2024 because it was the cheapest hotel available. It's also known as Villa Cuba. The resort is large, with plenty to offer, and the entertainment was among the best I've seen in Cuba. It's an easy walk to the Calle 62 Strip, which saved us taxi money. The building isn't new or luxurious, but for what we paid, it was well worth it. Front desk staff and security were so courteous and kind. They upgraded our room and kept checking that we had what we needed. There's an older gentleman who often handles the buffet doors and sometimes works at the downstairs pool bar. He's a real gem. I'd definitely come back at those prices.

There was always something going on at Villa Cuba, with activities during the day and great shows every night. We loved the beach, and every staff member was nice to us. We'd definitely come back.

Back from a week at this budget hotel, and even with rain for five days, we had a great time. The staff were so kind and looked after us well. There was always something to join in, from a fun darts tournament at 9 am to dance lessons and competitions, plus pool, Foosball, and ping-pong. The beach is fantastic, and town of Varadero is an easy walk away. Food worked out well enough for both vegan me and my carnivore kid. I've found my vacation home.

The beach was the best part for me: fine sand, turquoise water, and enough room for everyone. They also had an entertainment team. I stayed here in 2018, and the staff were friendly. The rooms are quite old, like something from Soviet times. I was fine with that and actually liked the different feel. Food was enough and tasty, with different kinds of fish, shrimp, and calamari. The salads were awful, though the buffet had plenty of freshly cut vegetables. I hope it was still this good after COVID.
