Blau Varadero Hotel All Inclusive

The pool was great, and the resort felt spacious, open, and relaxing. Our room was looked after and cleaned regularly, and the whole hotel was clean and well maintained. You could tell the staff put a lot of effort into giving good service. Everyone was kind and welcoming, treating us with respect and a smile and doing their best to make us comfortable. Food was a highlight, with plenty to choose from at lunch and dinner and fresh fruit every day. It was presented well and enjoyable. We felt well cared for and appreciated the hospitality. It was a wonderful stay at Blau Varadero, and we'd happily return. I'd recommend it for a relaxing, enjoyable vacation.

The staff were the best part: friendly, hardworking, and welcoming. We had no power outages during our stay, which made us feel comfortable visiting right now. The food was decent with a good range, and the bars had a solid alcohol selection. If you can, I highly recommend upgrading to Select. The extra perks are worth the small added cost and improve the experience. We'd absolutely recommend this resort and come back.

The people here are hard to beat. The staff were dedicated, really friendly, professional, and respectful. I made genuine friends and felt like crying when it was time to go. The Blau is on the older side for Varadero, turning 20 this year, but it's surprisingly clean, pleasant, and well maintained. The beach is fantastic, the pool is perfect, and there's plenty of food. You can relax at the lobby bar, or head to the beach bar for nightlife. I partied there five nights in a row with young people from all over the world, and it was superb. Just go, trust me, you'll see what I mean 🙂

The buffet is 5/5. I go to places in montreal that would be ashamed if they knew how much quality and effort goes into these buffets. Even with tons of people around, you leave full, with things to do afterwards. It's about three minutes from my sixth-floor room to the beach, and the tourbus is just as close. Everything is nearby. The animacion song got stuck in my head; I want the vinyl version :) There are little competitions for rum bottles or massages. Just be careful, if you win a lot in a row, they might be trying to use up your energy so you're quieter at bingo :) all in good fun. Lassaro goes around trying to remember every guest's name and make sure everyone's all right. The lobby bar can be slow sometimes. Look at the staff and think about how quickly you'd work, then ask yourself again a couple of hours later. The service keeps getting faster. You can also go to the piano bar or its balcony for a relaxed atmosphere. A real game changer for resorts. The small details they have for you are impressive. Some people complain about the elevators, but if you don't act like a monkey in them, they'll get you where you're going. They don't mention how well made the stairs are, either. Going up or down is a breeze. I went up an extra floor myself because it felt like a walk on the beach.
