Las Rochas sits in Lazareto, a small town just a few kilometers from downtown Mindelo. You can take a taxi or walk along the beach to get there. The paths above the hotel lead past pretty rocky coast, with trails along the shore and uphill toward tall, rocky mountains. Some of those trails also pass small forests. The aparthotel itself is wonderful, with lovely apartment rooms, great views, and a courteous, efficient staff team.

Las Rochas was a lovely place to stay. The location gave us a nice mix of quiet and easy access to the city, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The staff were kind and helpful throughout. I’d recommend it when visiting Sao Vicente.

For the price, the apartment and building were reasonable and nice. It’s outside town, though just a few minutes away by cab. Breakfast items weren’t always consistently available, but the staff were pleasant and would make omelettes on request. Since it was early April, the pool felt quite cold. The beachfront is raised and set back from the water, so it isn’t right by the water.

Really lovely staff and great rooms. It’s about five minutes from the city by taxi, so you can relax and take in the panorama. I’d gladly come back here.
