Blue Marlin Hotel

The food was really good, one of the best restaurants in Mindelo in our opinion, and we tried a lot of them. We loved staying at the Blue Marlon hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and our comfortable room had a lovely balcony and beautiful views.

Josina was helpful from the start, took care of everything and was always ready to assist with activities. Her colleague Jocy was just as friendly and helpful. Booking directly went smoothly. We stayed for 14 days, and the price for what we got was very good. The hotel is centrally located, the rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the view from the upper floors (2) was beautiful. We felt very safe. Breakfast was a varied, well-arranged buffet, and all the staff were friendly. They seemed very well trained. It’s been one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in in Mindelo so far, and we’d happily return.

The staff are amazingly friendly, and the modern hotel, open since March 2018, is squeaky clean. Meals on the terrace are nice, with comfy rattan furniture and a glass barrier that gives a great harbour view. Just know the small pool is right beside the restaurant tables, so you’ll get some attention while using it. :)

The location is amazing, you can walk everywhere. Service was very good, and Josine especially went out of her way to help us. Breakfast was tasty with enough options, though they’re slow to refill things and often start at 7.30 instead of 7.
