The apartments are roomy, with a properly equipped kitchen in each one, free WiFi, and a TV setup with local and satellite channels. Some have a terrace, too. It’s around a 15-minute walk to Gamboa and Plateau, the city centre. Terra Branca sits in a busy part of town, but that also means you get a feel for everyday local life instead of a touristy setting. There are several markets nearby, including one just over the roundabout. The women selling food were lovely, even though I don’t speak Portuguese or Creole. Antonio is very friendly. His English isn’t especially strong, but we had no trouble sorting things out. The place can be hard to find since there are no signs or banners, so it’s best to call or message him on WhatsApp. He’s happy to answer questions. It isn’t the cheapest option, but what you get feels worth the price. A great experience.
