The owner was chatty, spoke English and Spanish, and was glad to help arrange transport or activities around the island. I appreciated having a fridge for keeping water cold. The place was clean and tidy, and breakfast had healthy options. It’s in a perfect spot near the beach and main street, just what you need on holiday. One small thing, I wished there were somewhere to hang my wet swimsuit in the evening, maybe outside on the balcony.

The rooms are spacious and clean, though you can hear noise at night if yours faces the main street. Staff and the owner were so friendly and lovely, and there’s security all the time. Breakfast was great too. We had a great stay at Aquamarina Suites!

The large, clean room came with a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony looking out over the ocean. Staff were friendly, there was a security guard on duty all night, and the chef made really good omelets. The location is perfect, right by the main street, pier, and beach. I had the best stay ever and would live there again.

We had a quiet evening outside in the garden, since we were the only ones sitting there. The food from the garden grill menu was really good, though a little pricey. We enjoyed a nice chat with our bartender too.

The room was noisy and its sliding balcony door was broken. Still, you don’t spend much time in your room when you’re in Santa Maria. The service was perfect, and the owner and staff were absolutely wonderful and helped whenever they could.
