We felt safe throughout our stay, thanks to the cameras and alarm system, even though the villa is fairly secluded. You'll need a car to get around, as is the case across the island. The view was stunning, the host made us feel welcome, and the villa was really clean. We were even greeted with complimentary chocolates. Such a lovely place to stay in Curaçao, I'd definitely recommend it.

We had a fantastic stay at FonteinTop in December 2023, and the pool was every bit as beautiful as it looks in the photos. It glows blue in the evening until 9 p.m., and swimming while looking out at the sea was lovely. The water stayed comfortably warm in the sun, so I got in at all hours. The light did draw insects into the pool, though they were easy to scoop out with a net. The animals around the property were part of the fun. Rabbits came out at night, and we saw two iguanas and lots of lizards during the day, as well as geckos, grasshoppers and birds. Once in a while a flock of parrots flew past. With the occasional short showers and storms, there were quite a few mosquitoes. Local spray and our own repellent worked well; we didn't use the mosquito net, but I did put repellent on at night. Keeping the doors shut during the day helps keep animals out. Happily, I hardly saw any spiders. We were initially unsure about staying in a container house, worrying it could be too hot or windy on the hill. Those concerns disappeared as soon as we arrived. Every room has air conditioning, which we barely needed despite the 30-degree heat outside, and the breeze was pleasant. We were comfortable even during the short storms. The hilltop location gives views of both the north and south coasts, since the island is narrow there. The house is on a large property with three homes. The other two are hidden from view by the hill, though the nearest neighboring houses can be seen from a distance. FonteinZen at the foot of the hill is also available as a holiday home. From the road, you drive several hundred meters through the property after the main gate, then enter through another locked gate at the top. The house has an alarm, outdoor cameras and good lighting at night, and we felt very safe. Solar panels supply most of the electricity, which may be why we didn't notice the neighborhood power cuts. It's a secluded spot, so having a car is essential. Tera Corà has a few mini-markets about a 10-minute drive away; Willemstad is better for a bigger shopping trip. There's also a small restaurant a few meters from the main gate. The quiet location means plenty of privacy. Inside, there's a flat-screen TV, three Sonos speakers and Wi-Fi throughout the house and by the pool. The connection handled Netflix and stable Alexa video calls, but wasn't fast enough for a workation. The landlord said the provider was considering a network expansion. Math was a wonderful host, friendly and helpful, and always available when we had questions. We'd love to come back.

A quiet spot for couples or anyone wanting peace and quiet, with a clean pool and cabana. The beds were comfortable, the furnishings practical, and there's a TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a washing machine. The well-kept place sleeps 2-4, with sunrise and sunset views. Best beaches are around 20-30 minutes away by car, and the supermarket is 10 minutes away.

Casa Abou, one of Curaçao's most beautiful beaches, is only about 10 minutes from FonteinTop. We found the house peaceful and well secured, and it's the only one up on the hill. The kitchen window has a beautiful ocean view. I definitely recommend it.
