The setting by Playa Lagun was the highlight for us. The lagoon is calm and great for swimming and snorkeling, and the complex sits right on the cliff. It’s a quiet, secure place with access limited to residents, plus there’s a pool and a restaurant just around the corner. Our apartment was compact, but clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The terrace and balcony were private and peaceful, with lovely views. Iguanas even came by every day. A great base for unwinding and enjoying Curaçao’s nature.

The beach nearby is lovely, and the views over the landscape and wildlife are beautiful. The property is well maintained, and both the staff and other guests were friendly.

We loved snorkeling at Playa Lagoon. The water was clear, with lots of different fish, and the beach was just down a staircase. It was so handy to come back to our room and shower right inside the door. The room itself was only fair, with dirty floors and a somewhat worn-down feel. The restaurant served very good food, though we found it a little expensive compared with the other places we ate. Being so close to the beach made up for those drawbacks for us.

That view is absolutely beautiful, and the beach is only a few minutes away on foot. We enjoyed watching the iguanas and birds, and kept the dish on the outside wall filled with water for them. The place was nice, with most of what we needed, decent rooms, and plenty of windows and doors for airflow. There’s AC throughout for when you want it, plus a restaurant almost next door. A few things could be better: the beds were quite hard, and the upstairs bathroom was so narrow it was awkward to use. The water only got lukewarm, the stove knobs didn’t work properly, and people walked past the back porch on their way to the beach stairs.

The cliffside units have some of the best ocean views, and the whole complex has a simple, quaint Curaçao feel. It stays quiet even when full. There’s a clean pool with a large palapa, a cooling breeze most days, and not many bugs. The units have mini split AC, which we rarely needed, and the showers had plenty of hot water. Housekeeping came weekly, with towels on MWF. Meals are easy to find at the attached restaurant or the one nearby, and local fishermen sell fresh caught fish at Laguna Beach. Many guests are long-term owners or renters from Canada, the US, Nederland, and Brazil, and everyone we met was friendly and kind. If you’re after a quiet, rural stay away from the city, with calm swimming at Lagun, good scuba diving, and easy snorkeling, this is a nice spot.
