Atlantis Beach House

It was easy to get out and do things from this excellent location, and Mambo Beach was less than a 20-minute walk, where we went for lunch one day. We had a perfect week at the villa. It was peaceful, with a great pool and access to the ocean. Bring water shoes and a mask and snorkel, and you can snorkel right in front of the rental. The private, secure parking was reassuring. Highly recommend.

We were right by the sea, and Bida Beach, their new beach club, was only a short walk away. We even received a discount on our stay there. At Atlantis Beach House, the accommodation was beautiful and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Everything was arranged so well. We had a wonderful stay and absolutely recommend it!

The first night was when the stay at Atlantis beach house went wrong. I was woken at 1 a.m. by bites in the bed, and soon found several more. I could barely sleep afterward and ended up on an uncomfortable couch. Before that, things had started well, and the staff, especially Lorry, had been kind and responsive. I sent Lorry videos right away and asked whether we could move to another apartment or get a refund so I could find somewhere else. At first she said they could switch us. When she came the next day, though, she said no unit was available until our last night. She offered to spray insect spray and spent time trying to convince me, in her words, “It’s just ants. They are harmless the most they’ll do is bite you.” I can’t see who would knowingly pay to sleep in a bed infested with ants or any bug. She brought new sheets and sprayed the room, but the bugs kept roaming freely on the beds in both rooms. We left at 2 a.m. to find another hotel so we could sleep peacefully and enjoy the rest of our vacation. Atlantis is refusing to refund us. Even after that awful experience, we offered to pay for the first night or 50% of the total, and they still refused. It was a nightmare. I know seeing a bug or two inside can happen in the Caribbean, but finding them concentrated on the beds made it clear there was a problem. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

We were a group of five, and everyone was satisfied with the accommodations. I was traveling with my mom, my mother-in-law, my older sister, chichi, and an 11-year-old boy, so I wasn’t sure the trip would meet everybody’s expectations. But the vacation home had everything we needed. We felt safe, it was clean and well located, and the views were lovely. A picture-perfect experience.
