The hotel's location was handy for exploring Willemstad, but I wouldn't stay here again. Solo female travelers, please be careful. Our room felt dingy, and there was someone else's hair in the shower when we checked in, which made it feel unclean straight away. The bigger concern was security. The hotel connects directly to a public parking garage, and people can come from the street to the elevators with almost no barrier. There are security doors between the hallways and common areas on each floor, but during our stay they were propped open and inactive. Anyone could reach the guest room doors. We felt very unsafe, especially after a man tried to follow us toward our room one night. We raised it with staff, who just said “ok” and didn't seem to care. Don't pay the hotel's $10/night parking charge. There’s plenty of free parking just a 3-5 minute walk away. The security situation was unacceptable, and I wouldn't recommend this property to solo female travelers or anyone worried about safety.

Majestic City Suites was a mess from arrival. The toilet was so loud we could hear it through closed doors. After attempted repairs, it stopped flushing altogether, leaving us without working water for a full night and morning. My girlfriend was on her period and had to use the lobby restroom, which was especially upsetting. The front desk staff were rude and dismissive. They first said the hotel was full, then suddenly found us another room, only to tell us we had to move back to the original one the next day. That meant packing and unpacking twice. We never got an apology. Staff were laughing loudly in our bathroom while doing repairs, which felt very unprofessional. When we asked for a solution, they refused compensation and wouldn't let us speak with management about restitution. Booking.com stepped in to mediate, but the property ignored them too. Booking.com ended up compensating us out of its own pocket. That tells you a lot about how little the hotel would stand behind its service. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

The room was very small, and we couldn't upgrade because it was Carnival week and everything was fully booked. Still, I want to thank Zainab. We were there for 9 days, and she was always welcoming and helpful. She really wanted to help us, and when our safe had a problem, she came herself to sort it out. Thank you for trying, Zainab. Lino and Mary Furtado 😊

The room itself was spacious, clean, and in good shape, but getting into it was a mess. I arrived around 4:30pm and found it still left as the previous guest had left it. They asked me to return in an hour, but it still wasn't ready when I came back. I finally got in at 7pm. I asked about a late checkout for the next day and was told to request it at 10am. When I did, they turned me down. I know things can go wrong, especially when the hotel is full, but this wasn't a good experience. Please fix what needs fixing. I'd try the hotel again, hoping for better service.

Booking at the last minute still got me a fair price, and the stay was good. The room was clean and roomy, with a nice balcony over the street. There was quite a bit of traffic noise, though it didn't bother me late at night. The location is handy for the Punda shopping area, restaurants, the Market, and the bridge to the more touristy area.
