Curaçao Airport Hotel

A missed flight left me needing somewhere for one night, and this was a good option close to the airport. The bar and food area were good, and the staff were friendly with very good customer service. My room was clean and tidy, and there was even complimentary water, lol 😆. There’s also a casino, which isn’t really my thing. The only complaint is that it brings a lot of outside traffic. I only stayed the one night, but it was a good end to my trip and definitely worth it.

My mum stayed here overnight before an early flight. The room was acceptable, and service from the hotel itself was okay, but the airport transfers left a very bad impression. She paid $20 for the ride from the airport, which takes less than five minutes. The receptionist quoted $10 for the return trip the next day, then the driver showed up and demanded $15. It seems the drivers set their own fares, which felt misleading and unacceptable. Some were rude and wouldn’t help with the luggage, adding to the frustration. The hotel says it’s three minutes from the airport, which gives the wrong impression. Walking may be possible, but the poorly maintained pavements make it feel unsafe, so guests don’t really have a practical choice besides taking a taxi. The unclear transport arrangements and changing prices were a real letdown.

The one thing going for this place is its proximity to the airport. Otherwise, I found it completely unacceptable. It’s more like a motel than the hotel it’s advertised as. The shuttle driver was late. He apologized, but that didn’t make it okay. My room didn’t match the listing: there was no nightstand, just one tiny trash bin in the bathroom, and several advertised amenities were missing. There were safety and maintenance problems too. The balcony door wouldn’t lock securely, the main door latch was broken, the toilet barely flushed, and the shower took over five minutes to get even lukewarm. At 7am I could hear staff talking and laughing loudly. When I asked kitchen staff for something to put food in, she said there’d be a charge.

The shuttle driver was great and helped me a lot with my luggage. He was easy to reach too. Everything was arranged really well, and the rooms were very nice.
