Kura Botanica Hotel

We got a very affordable deal by bundling the hotel with our flight through Expedia. We stayed 8.5 days and loved it. The room was big, and the courtyard had fragrant plants. Inside the hotel it was very quiet. The location is hard to beat, right in the middle of the bright, picturesque Kura Hurlando village, with lots of restaurants and the island’s best gelato stand, and just a few steps from the Moving bridge. Miguel and the rest of the staff were cheerful, polite, and accommodating. There’s a gym, pool, and bar in the courtyard, too.

I loved being right in Kura Hulanda village, with its little boutiques, restaurants, and galleries. It felt artistic, pretty, and safe, and the hotel is very close to the Queen Emma bridge in Otrobanda. Parking was okay, though on Thursdays during Punda Vibes Nights we had to drive around for a bit and wait for someone to leave. Our room was spacious, modern, clean, and had good air conditioning. The service staff were all friendly and helpful. It was quiet most of the time, but there was a music event on Saturday night that went until 3:30am. I don't think that happens every Saturday. The pool and bar were beautiful. Had an amazing stay in this little gem. 10/10 would recommend.

We spent six lovely days here, and Miguel and Sarlota made a big difference with all their help. They suggested shops, a pharmacy, and restaurants, and the staff carried our luggage up and back down since we're in our 70s. When we needed help with the hairdryer, a replacement came up promptly. The overhead fan had been turned off, and Sarlota sorted that out, too. Our second floor room looked over the courtyard in “the village”. From the balcony we could see and hear the shops and live music, but things quieted down around 9-10 o’clock. Hats off to Miguel and Sarlota, the most accommodating hosts on the island!

The location is hard to beat. The village, with some of the nicest bars and restaurants in town, is only a minute away, and parking was convenient. The staff were super friendly, especially Miguel and Maya. There was a slight smell from the wooden cupboards or their paint that even the AC couldn't clear, but it was a very minor issue. We loved our stay.
