Our holiday began with us stuck in an unfamiliar town in the middle of the night, without proper accommodation or help. We had booked four rooms through an online travel agency and paid in advance in February. At check-in, the hotel said they'd misread the booking and only saw one room. If we'd paid for just one instead of four, surely they'd have noticed that too. They offered a transfer to another hotel 1.5 km away. It felt like they'd overbooked and were trying to move us to a place that wasn't comparable or in the same area. When I asked for another option nearby, they refused. I also asked to speak to the owner, but he wouldn't come out. We later found out he was sitting on the street near us and laughing at us. Luckily, we found the perfect place across the street, Melpo Antia Suites, which really saved us. I had my money blocked for four months and didn't receive the service I'd paid for. On top of that, I had to find acceptable accommodation in the middle of the night. This was unacceptable, and I was very unhappy with how we were treated. Dear owner, I hope you get the same treatment on all your holidays, and that you have no clients if you value them so little. Travellers, choose reliable places carefully. I hope you don't run into trouble on your trips. It seems that in high season they try to sell as much as they can without caring for guests, and choose whom to keep.
