Being right in the centre of Ayia Napa meant there were loads of places to eat nearby, from local Cypriot food to pub meals, Italian and Asian. There’s a supermarket just across the road, nightlife is about a 10-minute walk away, and Nissi Beach is roughly 10 minutes on foot too. The bus stop nearby also made it easy to explore further, and we even went to Protaras. We had a fantastic time at Anthea Hotel Apts. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our room was always spotless. The pool area was a highlight, with daytime music, drinks and snacks from the bar, and a lovely place to relax. We also enjoyed the live music nights, which gave the hotel a lively feel. A brilliant stay with everything we needed. We’d happily return.

I’ve stayed here twice, and both visits were excellent. The pool is beautiful and a great place to relax. The food is fresh, varied and very good, and there’s plenty of room in both the terrace and indoor dining areas, which are well organized. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The housekeeping ladies are kind and attentive to details as well. I highly recommend the hotel and can’t wait to come back.

We liked the staff, especially Joseph, who’s quite a character, and his daughter. The hotel also has a departure lounge and lockers for luggage, which is a great idea. We’d stay again. We were there for a week in July for my birthday. It’s popular with younger people, but they didn’t cause trouble or create a bad atmosphere, even for us as a mature couple. Our room was simple and a good size, with a pool view. We booked half board, and the food was nice with a good choice. I’ve taken off a star because we were surprised to have to pay and leave a deposit for an iron, hairdryer and key safe. The rooms also didn’t have a TV. It’s close to nightlife and also to the more mature areas with restaurants and bars.

Three weeks before my trip, the hotel got in touch to say it would only open after my booked dates. Why those dates were available to book is a mystery. They didn’t cancel the reservation themselves, and at that point it was hard not to wonder if they hoped to charge me too. I booked somewhere else, hopefully with a more serious business. :)
