Panas Holiday Village

We had a pleasant stay at Panas. It's ideally placed between the main beaches and the busy centre, with lovely staff, a great pool and good buffet food. The only drawback was the furniture in the rooms: it's a bit old, though still in good shape.

The location was great, and so were the pool area and the friendly staff. Our room was clean, spacious and had a balcony and a small kitchen area. There was good entertainment in the evenings too. We only booked self-catering, since there are lots of food places nearby within a short walk, and at great prices. We'd definitely stay again.

The staff were friendly and good with the children, but the rest of the stay was a letdown. The place is rotten, infested with ants and other bugs, and badly needs a refurbishment. During my week there, my sheets weren't changed once and my room wasn't swept once. The air conditioning was turned off overnight. The buffet had a VERY small selection and the food was poor. I ate out most nights because even my daughter wouldn't touch it. I dreaded going back to sleep there every day, and it really put a dampener on my holiday. I'd never stay again.

We paid for two garden rooms, but were taken to something that looked like an outside storeroom. It was huge and ugly, like stepping into the seventies, maybe even the sixties. The bathrooms were shocking, and the winding staircase was dangerous and completely unsuitable for families. When we asked for the garden rooms we'd booked just five minutes earlier, they showed us some horrendous, tiny studios upstairs instead. The rooms we'd paid for weren't available, but they refused to refund us. I've been to Cyprus 10 times, and this place proves you don't necessarily get what you pay for. There are much nicer, more up-to-date local places that cost less.
