Tsokkos Paradise Village

The grounds and pools were spacious and very well kept, and the location was handy, near the bus station and popular beaches. We had breakfast and dinner included; the food was good in both quality and variety, though it was disappointing that dinner came with no water or other drinks. The rooms felt old, shabby and not properly cleaned, which made the stay uncomfortable.

The room cleaning was beyond five stars, and everywhere was very clean. The buffet had lots of tempting dishes, and the staff were attentive, relaxed and welcoming. Congratulations to the whole team for looking after us so thoughtfully and providing such impeccable service. It’s an incredible, peaceful place. I highly recommend it and will be back.

The outdoor pool was amazing, and the location is quiet and close to Landa Beach. There’s a lot of potential here, but the staff seemed to show very little interest. It’s advertised as four-star, but it’s nowhere near that. Our room had dirty walls, old air conditioning, and bedsheets that were even older and smelled. For a family of four, we had one butter knife, one fork, two differently sized glasses, two plates and no spoons. A bathroom bulb flickered constantly, and the ceiling cover moved whenever I shut the door. There were cockroaches in the bathroom; when we raised it, we were given bug spray. A cat even jumped through our window at 3 a.m. The restaurant was decent, maybe three-star, but service was poor. My wife had our little one in her arms and waited ages for cutlery. When she asked a waiter, he handed her several forks and spoons and napkins to carry back, even though she was already holding the child and a plate of food. Some four-star service.

The pool was amazing and cleaned to a high standard every morning. The resort itself is lovely, but it needs attention and a proper clean. At check-in, there was nobody to show us the way to our room, just a rough point in the right direction. We arrived late and found no sheets and only one pillow to share. The night staff said they’d run out and gave me towels to use as pillows. The TV didn’t work, curtains had coffee stains, the mattresses were ripped and filthy, and there were dust balls under the beds. The kids’ amusements looked like they were from the 80s and were sun damaged. Roadside bushes were full of rubbish, bottles and plastic sheeting. It’s technically outside the site, but looks awful and would take someone only a few hours to clear. I don’t blame the staff; I think it’s down to the big boss and lack of funding. More site staff are needed to maintain this lovely place. I’m not trying to be malicious by posting pictures, just want people to take notice and get something done.
