Louis Paphos Breeze

The entertainers were amazing, and my son loved them. Everyone was so warm and helpful from the minute we arrived, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Our room had great views, was spotless, and had all the little comforts we needed. We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely come back.

We had a really enjoyable stay, thank you. The room was spacious and lovely, with fresh towels and bedding every day. Restaurant service was fantastic too, always friendly and attentive, and they kept offering us more drinks. The reception team were lovely and very helpful.

The hotel and its grounds were clean and pleasant, and our spacious room was cleaned daily. Desserts were excellent, though the rest of the food was just okay. The pool is shallow, more for cooling off than swimming. Most staff were fine, apart from a few at the main lobby bar. The location was the big problem. It feels isolated, with lots of modern investment buildings but no real life around them. There are no nearby shops, bars, or water sports, and the promenade is the only walking option, which gets boring if you do it every day. The nearest beaches are only a few metres wide and not especially clean. I didn't find Paphos very interesting either. The Archeological Park was just a few stones. If you don't want to spend all day by the pool, you'll need to rent a car, scooter, or quad to reach the lovely beaches and mountains. The closest scooter and quad rental company is 1.5 km from the hotel.

The à la carte restaurant MEZE was the highlight for us. The food was outstanding and the service excellent. The location was lovely too, close to the promenade, with a beautiful sea view and amazing sunsets. The sunbeds were comfortable, and parking was never an issue, perhaps because the hotel wasn't too busy. Getting into the sea itself was rather limited. Our room was spacious and cleaned very well, though it had a slight damp smell that we didn't notice with the air conditioning running all the time. Relatives in another room said theirs wasn't cleaned regularly and that the beds were sometimes left unmade. The main restaurant was a letdown. There seemed to be service standards in place, but the staff felt distant and cold, often not even greeting us. The food was average, often not warm, and the choice was unusually limited for an all-inclusive stay. Quantity wasn't my concern so much as quality. I don't understand why it couldn't be closer to the MEZE standard, especially with smaller amounts of food. The drinks were good, though. We stopped using the adult pool because the chlorine smell was overpowering and unpleasant. Two relatives had itchy skin afterwards, which doesn't happen to them in other pools around the world. The evening entertainment wasn't engaging, and its quality was poor. There was no proper space for the entertainers, and the music came from one big speaker that was hard to hear if you sat farther away. We chose the hotel based on its service and food reviews, since those make or break a stay, but it didn't meet our expectations. As a place to sleep, it's okay, but it doesn't deliver as a four-star ultra all-inclusive family hotel. I stayed at one of the Atlantica hotels in Rhodes in May and expected a similar experience from Louis Hotels. This stay was disappointing, and I wouldn't choose Louis Hotels again.
