I used to stay at this hotel and would come by every morning for breakfast. When they had no rooms left during a busy period, they still helped by sending me to another hotel. Mr. Olgun and Galip are people I’ve known for a long time, and they’re knowledgeable, well-equipped and understanding. They can be a real help on business trips in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, even when they can’t find you a room themselves. Thanks, I recommend them, but book ahead.

The setting is lovely, and the hotel manager was warm and friendly company. The stay cost 3000 lira, though, and what came with that was limited: breakfast was a very small plate, about what I’d expect at a three-star place, with extras only available by swapping out something else. Room service was just soap and towels, short of even the basic services of a three-star hotel.

An hour before I was due to arrive, they cancelled my booking. On the phone, the receptionist said he didn’t understand English and that they had no rooms available. Don’t go there.

The owners and staff were friendly, and my room was clean and nice. I asked them to change the mattress because the bed was uncomfortable, though it was clean. There’s also a bathroom smell whenever it’s windy outside. I think that may be an island infrastructure issue. Fine for a few nights overall.
