Cynthiana Beach Hotel

The sea views are lovely throughout Cynthiana Beach Hotel, and there are lots of loungers with easy access to the water. Breakfast has a nice range, the food was consistently good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. For the price, it’s a good hotel, though its location may feel a bit out of the way depending on what you want. A few things could be better. The room has no fridge unless you pay €5 a day, and tea and coffee facilities cost €2.50 per person per day. The walls are thin enough that you can hear the people next door. Beds are changed every three days, but we found our covers had just been moved to the other bed instead of replaced. There’s only one small supermarket next to the hotel, and it shuts at 6pm. Other shops are on the main road up a steep hill, which isn’t great for anyone with mobility issues. Getting into Paphos town takes two buses, which is a bit inconvenient.

The hotel sits right by the sea, with plenty of sunbeds and shades, and it was pleasantly quiet when we stayed for a week in October 2025. The beach bar, poolside bar and main restaurant were all there to use. I’m not sure why it’s rated three stars when the facilities are this good. Staff were friendly and helpful, our rooms were clean and simple, and breakfast was good. We had a great time, and the local restaurants were good too.

The natural pool was great for a swim when it was too windy to go into the sea, and our room had a lovely sea view. The location is great and all the staff were lovely. The hotel is nice, though it felt too big for us, with the usual all-inclusive feel. Food was okay but not very inspiring. We stayed bed and breakfast and were glad to get a break from buffet dinners at a local taverna. It was lovely to have table service and an à la carte menu there, and the food was great.

The views are stunning from this coastal hotel, with three pools, two outdoors and one indoors, plus a gorgeous natural tidal pool by the sea. There’s a bar beside it for food, drinks and ice cream. Rooms are spacious, but the mattresses were hard, lumpy and noisy whenever you moved. Most of the staff were helpful. One waiter was especially friendly and helpful, though several others seemed as if they didn’t really want to be there. Nearby, there are local restaurants, shops and a supermarket. I recommend the sunset bar/restaurant. Buses connect the area with paphos and coral beach ⛱️.
