Lysithea Beach Hotel Apts

There’s no reception at the hotel, just so you know. Getting there from the airport was easy: bus No. 425 takes about 40 minutes, and you can ask the driver to stop at Lysithea Hotel. A ticket costs €2.40. There’s also plenty of parking if you come by car. The sea is about 100 metres away, with a lovely balcony view, and there are shops, restaurants, and a bar serving different drinks nearby. The hotel was very clean, with housekeeping every day, including outside. The large pool was well maintained and there’s a separate one for children. Staff were super friendly and happy to offer help and advice. The room had what we needed: a shower, fridge, TV, hairdryer, kettle, tea and coffee, soap, body wash, towels, and fresh bed linen. I’m really happy we chose it and highly recommend it.

The price was the only good thing for us. There was no one available for check-in, no room service, and no lighting outside at night. The floor was damaged and wet when we arrived, and the shower flooded. We used a towel to protect the floor and keep a blind traveller from falling. Then we got a text saying they wouldn’t change the towel. They were upset that we’d used it as a rug and said we should have used one of our T-shirts instead. We tried to be easygoing because of the price. Linens are changed only every 3-5 days, beds aren’t made, but staff come in daily to take the rubbish and photograph your personal belongings. They also claimed washing the towels doesn’t clean them well enough. We’ve learned our lesson. Please use the money we paid to fix the flooring and shower.

A new hotel at a really good price, and everything was clean. The pool is included, with a bar nearby serving drinks and some food. The beach is only a few metres away, and there are good restaurants and grocery shops in the area. The bus stop right in front has a direct service to the airport and Larnaca city centre. A daytime single ticket was €2.40. Had a wonderful stay!

The pool is big and quite warm, so it didn’t feel as refreshing as we’d hoped. It also has very sharp edges, so keep that in mind the first time you use it, though it wasn’t a problem for me. The hotel is very tidy, with room service every morning, and the rooms are well equipped and clean. It’s a nice place, somewhere between a studio and a regular hotel.
