I barely slept during my one night at this hostel and left as soon as it was daylight. There were mostly men in the room, and they kept peeking at my bed. The receptionist took my phone number from the check-in, then called and texted me. He also came into the room several times and looked toward my bed. It was one of the scariest nights of my life, and I didn't feel safe or comfortable there.
This place is old, filthy, and unsafe. There were bed bugs in all the beds, and I got bitten. My suitcase and belongings will now have to be thrown away because of the infestation. Do not come here.
I couldn’t stay more than 20 minutes, so I ended up paying for a room at a completely different hostel. The building and rooms are in terrible shape, and they put you in a room with 15 other people, with people also sleeping in beds in the corridor. There are only two bathrooms for roughly 20 guests. The beds and whole place were dirty and smelled bad. I saw bugs too, and hope the sanitary inspection visits soon. In the last bed, a man was making very strange movements, probably the only person who gave this hostel more than one star in the comments. The guy offered me another room on the same floor for a “modest sum” of 40 euro, still sharing the two bathrooms with around 20 people.
Edit: DO NOT STAY here. There are bed bugs, people have had money stolen, and the owner doesn’t care. The location is great, though cleanliness is not, and there were no lockers. When I booked, nothing mentioned there would be 30 beds. That many beds in one room didn’t bother me much, but the room was open and anyone could come in, so having nowhere to lock my things made me really uncomfortable. I raised it with the guy working there, but he said he was only a cleaner. I met some nice travelers despite all that. If you only need one night and have just a backpack with no valuables or laptop, you could stay. For a longer stay, make sure they give you a locker.
The location is great, and check-in was easy even without reception because the door has a code lock. There are safety lockers, though one sits right by the dorm entrance and can block it when someone uses it. The address on Google Maps is wrong and farther up the street, but the owners send the correct coordinates. The floor was cleaned every day, but the shower curtains and similar areas weren't very clean. Owners were doing construction inside the house next to the bedroom, sometimes starting around 08:00 or 09:00, and there was no warning about renovations. The air conditioner never worked during my stay, and its remote didn't work either. The dorm had no windows and no door. There was just one shower beside the toilet, so only one toilet could be used while someone showered; the floor was slippery, and the mat wasn't really non-slip. There were two bathrooms on the dorm floor. It's an alright place for the price, but I think it should cost a bit less.
