Lazaros Stonehouse

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room was cozy and pleasant, and the accommodation was clean and nice. It’s conveniently close to the village center. I’d highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Lazaros StoneHouse. It’s a clean, well-kept house with plenty of traditional charm, in a lovely spot in Lefkara. The warm atmosphere made the visit feel welcoming. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting an authentic stay in the village.

The common living room and kitchen had everything we needed, and the rooms were comfortable with reliable hot water, which matters in winter. Check-in and check-out were both very easy. Our host, Theofanis, was kind and gave us information about the house and the village. It’s a place with a real sense of tradition and hospitality.

The house is pretty, the beds were very comfortable, and the location is excellent. The owners seemed happy to let us check out at noon instead of 11, and our room was ready earlier than expected. One of our coffee mugs was dirty, though, and the room was small. The door opens right in front of the beds, leaving barely enough space for an able-bodied person to get in. The bathroom window faces the shared courtyard, which felt uncomfortable because you can hear everyone and everyone can hear you. The listing calls it self-check-in, but you still have to contact the owners because there’s no way to check in by yourself. We were lucky someone was leaving and opened the door to the common area, then a kind member of the cleaning staff helped us find our room and key. Two friends of ours also booked there and arrived well after check-in time, but their room wasn’t ready. When they raised it with the owners, the situation escalated for no clear reason. The person on the phone was confrontational and said things like, “It will be ready when it’s ready” and “What do you expect us to do?” Because my friend was coughing during a dust storm, they were threatened with a COVID test and possibly being denied their stay. A few hours later, someone else from the establishment called, still confrontational, and said they were reporting them to Booking.com. Though my friends had stayed the night, the owners marked their reservation as a no-show by that evening or the next morning. The owners also claimed, for some reason, that they had offered me a refund. I’m not sure why, but it seemed dodgy.
