The bathroom was the worst part. The shower window looks straight onto the staircase, so I felt someone could see in if they stood on tiptoes. Water pressure and flow were very poor, there was no ventilation, and mold had formed above the shower. The bathroom door jammed halfway and needed a push to open or close. The apartment was freezing at night because the terrace doors wouldn't shut properly and had holes large enough to fit my hand through. Both apartment entrances had holes stuffed with napkins, and the building's main door slammed with a sound I can only imagine hell's doors making. We had to run the AC most of the night, and were charged for the energy used during our stay. The terrace, table, and chairs were dirty, with a pigeon nest above the window. The kitchen cupboards felt sticky, like they hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. Staff were rude and showed no interest in our comfort or satisfaction.

We had a large apartment with everything we needed, plus fast Wi-Fi. Truly Cyprus was quick and easy to communicate with, and available around the clock for questions or local tips. The place is in Limassol's popular old town and marina area, surrounded by lively cafes, bars, and restaurants. I'd happily book with them again, highly recommended.

After four failed attempts to verify my ID on their external site, using different devices because it wouldn't load or accept the photos, I contacted them to complain. They cancelled my reservation and left us without anywhere to stay. This happened after I'd already booked through Airbnb and completed its verification. Truly Cyprus then sent several messages with outside links asking me to verify again and provide credit card details for a security deposit. I've stayed in over 50 Airbnbs and hosted 5 guests myself. Airbnb provides insurance cover up to $3million USD if something goes wrong, so I don't understand why a guest should hand card details to an unfamiliar external website for a deposit. The process ruins the smooth experience Airbnb has set up. It seems to serve only to justify the excessive fees they charge hosts. I feel sorry for the hosts who chose Truly Cyprus to manage their listings.

I couldn't get a reply about my early check-in request until Wednesday, after I followed up on the message I'd sent Monday. They promised confirmation by Wednesday evening, but it never came. Since then, I've called several times and tried messaging again. Nobody answers, calls aren't returned, and there's no response to messages. Even the landline just sends you to an answering machine. This is terrible, unfriendly service. A business being completely unreachable is unacceptable. First and last time I'll book with this company.

The owner was so friendly and helpful, and the apartment was lovely, clean, and right in the city center. We were four friends and had a balcony with a sea view. Great value for the price, and a warm welcome too. Really recommend it.
