Bee Hostel

The location and beds are good, but the service was terrible. I had already confirmed and paid for my reservation, yet all of us guests were suddenly told to check out because a large group had booked the whole hostel. We had to find somewhere else immediately. They said we could stay until 3 p.m. if the new group hadn't arrived, but that agreement wasn't kept. At noon, a staff member from Iran came and ushered everyone out. There was also criticism that guests were cooking too much and that this wasn't a 5-star hotel. Where does it say how or what you're allowed to cook for yourself? An absolutely awful experience. The guy from Iran working there was completely rude and disrespectful.

When we got to the hostel, the receptionist asked us to cancel our room for no reason. We said they should cancel it themselves, and he started shouting. He wouldn't explain anything, cancel the booking, or refund our money. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone. Be aware that they may simply refuse to accept you.

The hostel doors were left open 24 hours a day, so anyone could come in, even though the area itself is safe. The place was dirty and full of ants. I was supposed to sleep alone in my bed, but the ants were there with me. The bathrooms weren't clean either, and it felt like nobody had cleaned them for a while.

The staff were great, kind, and helpful. They let me check in early and stay until late as well. The area has loads of good bars and restaurants, and the best one is only a minute from the hostel, called "Sykaminia Cook Shop". Great location.
