E.J. Pyrgos Bay Hotel

We visited in December, which I assume isn't their busiest season. This small, family-run hotel sits right on the beach in Kato Pyrgos village, in northwest Cyprus, probably the island's most beautiful region. The rooms were clean and a decent size, and the linen and bathrooms were clean too. Service was friendly and polite. Breakfast is basic, nothing fancy, but it gives you a chance to chat and joke with the owners.

The family hosting the hotel were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and made our stay unforgettable. The restaurant food was fresh, homemade, and really tasty. Our room was comfortable, with exceptionally comfortable beds, and it was cleaned every day. I didn't think daily cleaning was needed, but it was a nice extra. The setting feels like paradise, and the balcony view is worth it all. Falling asleep to the sound of the sea was priceless. The hotel's beach has direct access, lovely sand, and an easy entry into the water. It was the best beach we saw in Cyprus, and perfect for our child.

The owners were warm and made a real effort to help us feel at home. We also enjoyed the on-site restaurant, with delicious meals and especially good options for vegetarians. The beach right in front of the hotel is wonderfully peaceful, with pristine sand and clear water. From our room, the sea views were breathtaking, with the waves and sunlight on the water making mornings a delight. It was a serene, picturesque backdrop that felt truly special.

We came back to the Hotel in 07/2025 and were glad to see its high standards continue. They've added a lift and new rooms in the north block. Every room has a spectacular sea view and a breathtaking sunset. The family who run the business are always ready to help. It's a real escape for peace of mind from the modern, overpriced pace of the rest of the island.
