Madama Residence

Daily room service is available if you want it, and we loved our stay. The rooms were freshly renovated, with modern but still lovely, comfortable decor, just as the pictures promised. You get a hairdryer, modern AC, installed socket adapters, free cosmetics, and shampoo and gel in the bathroom. There's also a fridge with daily water if you'd like. The hotel is right in the centre, as central as you can get. We'd recommend staying here for a few days to discover Nikosia.

The setting in Nicosia's old centre has a lovely historical feel, with beautiful original art on the walls, and it makes for a great dinner spot. The wine selection is good too. On my last visit, I went to a dine and wine event organized by Wine and More by French Depot in Nicosia. It paired a carefully prepared gourmet dinner by Chef Iosif Anghel with an amazing selection from Purcari Winery in Moldova. Service was professional, friendly, and accommodating, and the whole experience was amazing.

We were a group of 16, and the food was so delicious that our plates were empty before I could take any photos 🤣🤣🤣. Dragosh was especially great, a handsome, positive, patient man who understood the Polish teachers like no one else 🤣. He arranged a big table for us and made me a tasty non-alcoholic drink. Thank you, and I recommend the place!

I've been to Madama for dinner and brunch, and the food was finely prepared and presented on both visits. I tried several pastas, beef tartare, and pumpkin curry risotto. The flavors felt familiar but had an inventive touch, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. There's also a great wine list. A gem in the heart of Nicosia.
