Flor Guest House

In Arab Ahmet, the famous historic Turkish Cypriot neighborhood inside the walled city Nicosia, there’s a lovely, authentic historic building. The rooms are comfortable and the hospitality friendly. The hostess is a wonderful local woman, a respected educator who’s now retired.

It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it for a night or two in North Cyprus. The host is excellent, the rooms are clean, and there’s a nice garden. It’s also close to the center.

We were very happy with the four days we spent there, especially the atmosphere and how attentive and welcoming everyone was. The hotel felt like home, and it was close to the transport we needed around Cyprus as well as Zahra Street for coffee. When my wife and I were planning our trip, we thought Nicosia would suit us best and contacted many hotels. Ms. Pembe was the warmest and kindest person we spoke to, and she answered all our questions. The hotel had a really pleasant atmosphere inside and out. Thank you.

We were a little hesitant when booking, but Ms. Pembe’s attention and hospitality made us feel like we were leaving our own home after three nights. The rooms were clean, breakfast was adequate, and the hotel is near the center. We’d choose it again and again in Nicosia.
