Antonis G. Hotel Apartments

A clean, affordable little hotel in a fairly quiet part of Oroklini. The rooms have been refurbished, and there’s a pleasant courtyard with a pool. Restaurants are nearby, and it’s only a couple of minutes by car to the beach or Larnaca.

The bed was so bouncy, with loose springs, that I couldn’t get a proper night’s sleep. The rest of the place felt just as neglected: the bedrooms were dated and poorly kept, the toilet still had visible stains, and there were marks on the pillows that made me uneasy about using them. Several kitchen cupboards were broken and seemed to have been that way for a long time. It needs a thorough clean and serious renovations. I really regret booking here and wouldn’t recommend it.

The restaurant was a real highlight, with amazing food, and the staff were efficient, pleasant and very helpful. The hotel itself has tasteful art and a charming Mediterranean island feel, with clean rooms and grounds. It doesn’t feel like a standard chain hotel, and it’s conveniently placed for local activities. I had a great stay and would come back.

The staff made the stay especially easy. They were friendly and attentive, and quickly arranged a shadier room when we asked. Antonis G. Hotel Apartments is in a handy spot, with a short bus ride to Larnaca’s beaches and local tavernas like Voreas and Grada nearby. Free parking and Wi-Fi were useful, though the signal was sometimes patchy. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with a clean, spacious layout, kitchenette, air conditioning and flat-screen TV. The microwave, fridge and kettle were there, and we had a private balcony looking toward the Oroklini mountainside. The seasonal pool was refreshing, and the kids’ pool was popular with families. At Lithos Bar & Grill, we enjoyed Cypriot food at reasonable prices. Breakfast and dinner for two were about €25, with generous portions. Live music and bingo nights gave the place a lively feel without being too much. It’s a family-run place with a relaxed, authentic Cypriot feel and good value, especially for couples or families. My stay was delightful, and I’d happily return or recommend it.
