Angela Holiday Apartments

Angela Apartments is in a really handy spot, a short walk from the coast and Paphos harbour and not too far from the market. Paphos bus station is right across the road, with connections to much of Cyprus. The apartment was tidy and clean, with a decent kitchen and plenty of plates and cutlery. I liked the balcony, and although some people might find the place dated, I didn't mind that at all. The bathroom was clean, with a bath and mixer-tap shower, though the water temperature depends a lot on the solar heating. The creaky beds were surprisingly comfortable, and there was extra bedding in the wardrobe. Our bedroom had an aircon unit, though we didn't use it. Wi-Fi wasn't great, so I wouldn't count on it. A Firestick might be useful for an evening in. For the price, it was a great stay and I was happy with it.

The hygiene was awful. The bedding was dirty, I got bitten by bed bugs, and there were bugs in the bathtub. It was 37 degrees outside, but they charged 5 euros a night for the air con remote and told us to use the free fan instead. That fan was covered in dust or mold, as the pictures show. Worst stay ever.

One of the worst experiences I've had. My reservation was cancelled for no reason just a couple of days before the stay, even though I'd booked it a while ago. I had to find somewhere at the last minute, and because the dates were so close, it cost a lot more. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

This is a small, private two-storey apartment block on King's Avenue road, right in the heart of Paphos. A walled garden around the pool gives the place a nice sense of privacy. The apartments are spacious, with a separate living room and kitchen. There's a cooker, microwave, sink, table and chairs, fridge-freezer, cooking utensils, plates, dishes, bowls, cups, glasses, two settees, a coffee table, and a TV. The separate bedroom has two beds, bedside tables, lots of wardrobe space, and a private safe you can use for free. The bathroom has a bath, shower, sink, and toilet. Air conditioning costs 5 euros a day, though free fans are provided. There's also a laundry service for 12 euros: fill a large bag and they wash and dry the items and bring them back to your room. Cars and bikes can be hired from the adjoining property.
