There’s an indoor and outdoor pool, views of the beach and ocean, and some rooms have a small kitchen. That kitchenette was a saving grace for me, since I found breakfast almost inedible. The place has the basics, a bed and somewhere to put your things, along with a few comforts. I chose it for the beachside location near historical sights, the kitchenette and living room where I could work, and the indoor pool and gym for swimming laps. The outdoor pool and bar seemed good for enjoying the sun. But inside, it felt more like student housing than a hotel. There’s no color, art or soul, which takes away from a location that could be decent. It might meet expectations better if listed as an apartment complex. I booked three nights so I could extend if I liked it, or move on. Within the first 10 hours I knew I’d move on somewhere that suited me better. It was adequate for the rest of my stay.

The pools were large and pleasantly warm, with enough sunbeds that we could always relax comfortably. Our rooms were cleaned daily, and the housekeeping staff did such an amazing job they deserve a raise. The restaurant staff were kind, friendly and professional. The food was delicious, from fresh local fruit and cheeses to a wide range of international dishes. Breakfast was a highlight, with live cooking, and every meal left us full and happy. The restaurant also has a beautiful view. One evening we missed dinner, but a lovely woman at reception made a takeaway meal for us. Such a thoughtful gesture. We had a wonderful time at Capital Coast Hotel in Paphos. We love you ❤️

Really good value. The building is old, but at least our wing had been renovated, and the room, terrace and bathroom were spacious enough. The indoor pool and sauna were okay, though the outdoor pool was closed for winter. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including a nice omelette and great fruit. The main downside during our stay was the strong smell of cleaning products in the halls.

I stayed at the Capital Hotel, Resort and Spa for 20 days, and the staff made a big difference. They were friendly, attentive and always willing to help. Evros, the barman, deserves a special mention. His personality and service were outstanding and really added to the stay. The beach was just a stone’s throw away, and I loved my daily walks along the beautiful coast. Searching for sea glass in the nearby stony cove became one of my favourite parts of the trip. Breakfast was another highlight. The pancakes were delicious, the fresh honey was lovely with my morning coffee, and the “egg lady” was incredibly warm and kind to me and my children. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely return.

At €60 for a stay with breakfast right by the beach, it was comparatively cheap and not a bad choice for the price. The first impression on entering is of faded glory, so the comments about needing renovations are accurate. The breakfast buffet was an extremely wide range, a pleasant surprise, though the lack of fresh juices was a missed opportunity. The walkway along the shore is a great way to get to Paphos harbour, about 1 hour going.
