Hotel Kings Annex

Go! We called in the middle of the night at the last minute because we needed a room, and they welcomed us right away. The manager was incredibly kind and spoke lots of languages, including French. She even offered to tailor breakfast for us. The hotel was full, but when I asked about checkout, she asked what time suited us and when our flight was. We were able to leave around 14:00. Afterwards she let us use the pool and gave us towels, stored our luggage, and found us a spare room with towels so we could wash before the flight. The hotel is very good for a 3 star, and the service was the best. I absolutely recommend it.

The whole hotel feels dated, but it had everything we needed, and the staff were the reason I rated the place so highly. Everyone was accommodating. Our flight was cancelled again, so we arrived at 2am. It was the nearest open hotel to the bus station, and luckily there had been a cancellation. Andreas understood what had happened and got us checked in quickly. Breakfast was very good, with a nice range of fruit and eggs cooked fresh. They also let us stay in the room past checkout time.

For a few days, this is a good place to stay, especially if you want to see things on foot. The location is handy for sightseeing and right by a bus stop. The service was excellent, and the pool was pleasantly cool for a dip before the evening. It's a smaller, older hotel, but pretty well kept. The room had air conditioning and a fridge. We chose one without a balcony, which we regretted because there was nowhere outside to dry towels or swimsuits. Breakfast was fresh and adequate, and you could order fried or scrambled eggs.

The garden and pool looked nice, and the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was okay. But the hotel badly needs renovation. The mattress was so uncomfortable we could feel its springs, and the air conditioner smelled odd and didn't seem to have been cleaned recently. Light came through the gap around the room door from the corridor, and its closing mechanism didn't seem dependable. I also found it strange that using the mini fridge cost extra.
