Iliada Beach Hotel

The staff were amazing, elegant, and always smiling, and the atmosphere felt like being with a good family. There was live music almost every day and lots of traditional food. Vrissi, the closest bay, is beautiful, and you're just steps from the best Bay on Cyprus 💚. I truly love this place. Best stay ever.

I was a bit worried after reading some recent reviews, but I couldn't disagree more. We had a lovely time and would recommend the hotel to everyone 😊. The food was delicious with plenty of choice, and there was always something for kids like chips, chicken nuggets, pizza, and burgers. Rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels every day, and beach towels could be changed at reception each day. There was live music every night. Fany is the nicest person you could meet, she was so lovely and my little boy adored her 😍. You booked a 4 star hotel, so don't expect 5 star service 😉. Thank you 😊

The staff were friendly, and our room smelled really nice when we checked in. It was cleaned daily, too. The hotel itself is pretty good, with a perfect location and beach. But the food was awful, and they often didn't replace things after they ran out. Breakfast was the same every day. The outside bar shut at 6pm, didn't have all the beers they offered, and there wasn't much evening entertainment. It doesn't deserve 4 stars, and the price they're asking isn't worth it.

We’ve been coming on and off for 20 years, and we know it isn’t really a 4 star hotel. The location is perfect, though, and it could be fantastic if proper tradesmen spent a couple of months fixing it up. On arrival at 2 am, we were asked to share one room for 3 nights, me, my wife, and sister in law, in return for an upgrade WiFi. After arguing until 3 am, we got the 2 rooms we’d paid for. The young barman near reception on the night of the 9th September was awesome. He should be moved to the beach bar and promoted. The pool bar guy was awful and rude, and shouldn't work there. He made Basil Fawlty look good. I saw a lady ask for water and he said English water only, then went to the tap with a rude face. When we asked for 3 drinks, he snapped “3”, even though there were 3 people. The evening meal was yak. I ended up making a cheese sandwich, drinks were so slow we had to ask for some at the end of the meal, there was no one in charge, and the young waiters were spinning trays instead of doing much. Only go b and b. We won’t come back.
