Sanders Mythical Blue - Nice 4 bdr Villa With Pool

We ended up cutting our stay short after a patio door turned out not to lock and could be opened from outside. We sent the management company videos when they asked, then were told someone would contact us within an hour. Nobody did. Booking.com helped us leave early and find somewhere else, but the problems had already spoiled the first week of our holiday. There were five adults and a toddler, but only an outdoor metal table and chairs and two plastic chairs with an umbrella. Half the outdoor furniture was missing, and there were no sunbeds. My brother, who booked the villa, messaged the company on Saturday night. The office was closed, and the next morning we were told the policy was not to provide sunbeds. They said damage had led them to stop supplying them, although earlier reviews mentioned them. We wish we had known, as we wouldn't have booked or spent over €4000. The company said it couldn't change the standard wording on booking.com, and the official website didn't mention it either. We bought foldable sunbeds ourselves, so had to pay extra. There was black mould in a bedroom, and passers-by could see straight into the pool area. Nearby villas had privacy screens, but ours didn't. We also couldn't get a mop or dustpan and brush despite asking several times. Earlier reviews had apparently raised this too, with the response that the local team would take action, but nothing appeared. We couldn't sweep, and ants got inside. It's a real shame, because the villa has a lot of potential. We were excited when we booked through booking.com, and the photos and reviews looked great. The management company didn't seem to care or act on previous feedback.

The place felt so dirty that we couldn't relax. There were long hairs all over, sometimes clumped together, the fridge hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests, and we found empty water bottles in the bedroom cupboards. The sofa meant for one of us to sleep on was filthy and had no sheets or pillow. Even though the vacuum cleaner was left in the middle of the room when we arrived, the floor was still dirty. We had no privacy on the veranda, where the table sits right beside the street. The wall is low and there's no fence for even basic cover. Some pool tiles were loose, and one of us slipped and fell into the pool. There were no face towels. Some bath towels were soaking wet, and another was visibly dirty. The kitchen cupboards had dirt that looked like cockroach droppings, which was very unhygienic. We sent the property photos as proof after they asked, but never heard back. We were extremely disappointed with the stay.

They cancelled on the day we were due to check in, leaving ten women out on the street with nowhere to stay, even though we'd booked six months ahead. I don't recommend them. The Booking reviews are good because they cancel, so guests can't leave a review.

The pool was a highlight, and the place was very clean. For a big group, the price was great. It came with a few essentials and is right by local shops and restaurants. Hard to find much fault.
