Sunrise Oasis Hotel & Waterpark

This hotel really does everything it can to make your holiday great, and it’s in a great spot. It’s a five-minute walk to the center of the Protaras strip and two minutes to our favourite chippy, MR COD. LIDL is literally across the road. We’ll definitely be back because it’s so good for the kids and for us. We arrived late after airport trouble, but the staff offered sandwiches and drinks as soon as we checked in. Jet2 hadn’t served food on the flight because of a warehouse fire, so that really helped keep my wife, the kids, and me fed for the night. Breakfast is self-serve and all-you-can-eat, and we couldn’t fault it. Staff are there to help if you need them. The snack bar and pool bar are AMAZING. The staff are happy to bring food and drinks to your lounger if you want, depending on how much you’ve ordered. Lunch in the hotel restaurant was great, and staff were helpful again. Dinner, like breakfast and lunch, had a huge selection. You keep the same sunbed for your whole stay, which is FANTASTIC. No race to grab one at the crack of dawn. The pool is a good size and not too deep. The water slides are ace, especially for the kids and big kids too. The adult pool has its own pool bar and is great for people wanting a break from the children. There’s loads for families: a kids club, football pitch, play area, mini golf, games room, mini bowling, a kids’ disco every night, and adult entertainment that kids can enjoy too. The head chef was an absolute credit to the hotel when helping us manage our daughter’s peanut allergy. Every time we went to eat, we could ask him, and he’d walk around with us to show what she could and couldn’t have. Huge thanks to him for the care and the quality of the food he cooks up.

We spent 11 nights here with our three children, aged 10, 7, and 2, and it was the best holiday we’ve ever had. The family room was clean and suited all of us, with a kitchen area that came in handy for the two-year-old. The hotel is good value, and Jet2 were fabulous all the way through. The location was spot on: near the shops and beautiful turquoise-water beaches, but far enough from the strip and bars to avoid their noise. The atmosphere was calm, with plenty to keep the kids entertained so my husband and I could relax. My son loved the enclosed, safe football pitch, and my daughter enjoyed the kids club, where she could come and go when she needed a break from the sun. The staff are what make this place. Everyone was incredible, always smiling and helpful, and they took pride in remembering us. Patrick from the entertainment team played football with my son, Tunder was so friendly and worked hard for the two weeks we saw her, and Martin was fabulous. The lady at the pool bar was always cheerful and helpful, and the young lad serving takeaway pool meals remembered our sunbed number and brought our food over. The pool boys were helpful too. I wanted to move to get more sun, and they sorted it out the next day. Restaurant staff were amazing. The food was fresh and just right, and service was quick, with drinks ordered within two minutes of sitting down and dirty plates cleared seconds later. The kitchen team did a great job. The pool was clean, bins were changed constantly, and staff wouldn’t let you clean up yourself, they did it for you. The allocated sunbeds are a real win, with no early morning rush. Manager Richard was often walking around, checking on staff and guests to make sure everything was running smoothly. He was always present and friendly. Reception were very helpful, especially Tracy. The included restaurant visits were amazing too, with incredible food and top service, so please pass on our thanks to them. We also visited Fig Tree Bay and took a boat trip along the coast from Protaras pier with Yellow Boat cruises, a brilliant family-run business. We swam with turtles. We had the best 12 days we’ve ever had and will definitely return. Well done to everyone, your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. The pool is clean, the staff change the bins all the time, and they always take care of the cleanup for you too. The assigned sunbeds mean no one has to rush out in the morning. The Braddick’s. We had a great first holiday at this spotless, beautiful hotel. The staff were very friendly and polite, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our cleaner went above and beyond every day in room 118. The food selection felt small for a hotel this size, in our opinion, but what we tried was very nice. There was a good premium drinks selection, and the location was handy for the main strip and not far from the beach. The sunbed allocation worked well. We had A7 in the adults-only pool, a great spot by the pool bar. You can also order from the snack bar two minutes away using the QR code on the parasol. Nice idea. We would definitely consider coming back to this hotel if we return to Cyprus. But there was one serious issue that made us feel unsafe afterward. At around 6 a.m. on Wednesday 3rd September 2025, the fire alarm went off and we evacuated to the front car park with other guests. Not everyone came out; some people were just looking from upstairs windows. No hotel staff or management appeared to coordinate the evacuation or tell us whether it was a false alarm and safe to go back inside. In the end, everyone just decided to return. Management never followed up about the alarm or the evacuation problems we saw. It could have been a real fire, and we wouldn’t feel very safe if the alarm went off again. I raised it with the TUI rep the first time I saw her, and she said she would speak to management.

Mr. Raj made our arrival feel special. He welcomed us with a warm smile, helped with our luggage, and made sure we had what we needed before we even asked. His professionalism, patience, and genuine kindness really stood out. He clearly cares about guests’ comfort and experience. Thanks to him, our first impression of the hotel was fantastic, and it set the tone for a wonderful stay. We truly appreciate his dedication and helpfulness. If you’re visiting, he’s someone you’ll be glad to meet. Everything was perfect.
