The villa is spacious inside and out, in a quiet, easily accessible spot, and definitely worth a stay. The kitchen is rather small, with limited counter space. We were annoyed on checkout day: checkout was 10am, but cleaners arrived at 8am and made quite a bit of noise cleaning outside. It felt as if they wanted us gone early for their convenience. Some details also fell short of the advertised “luxury” standard in my opinion. We had to ask for the interior, exterior, and pool lights to be fixed, and the two large water spouts into the main pool don’t work. When we asked, we were told they just don’t work, so I think the listing photos should be changed. Matching the outside light bulbs and curtains that close properly would help too, and one two-slice toaster isn’t enough for a villa accommodating nine people. Maybe that sounds picky, but the villa is advertised as luxury. It depends on your idea of luxury, I suppose.
The owner responded quickly whenever we had questions, and the issues we raised were sorted out right away. Mandola Rosa is a beautiful villa with a good location, a lovely pool, and an outdoor kitchen. There are plenty of sunbeds, and it’s a short walk to Polis village and its many restaurants. Inside, the decor is simple but clean, and perfectly enough to enjoy the stay.
We really enjoyed this beautiful, well maintained villa. It’s a thoughtfully designed two story house, with both a large and a small option to choose from.
