Ausonia

The location is a real plus: restaurants, the promenade, a small beach, and bigger beaches nearby. The pools are large, there are lots of sunbeds and a bar, and the water park has potential, but the entertainment is poor. Some of the water park supports are so rusty they hang above the tiles, so that equipment badly needs attention. The buildings and facilities feel worn and neglected, and several buildings are closed. Although I stayed at Ausonia Hotel Apartments, it shares pools, restaurants, and bars with Anastasia Beach Hotel and Marlita, so the main difference is which building you sleep in. Food was okay, with themed dinners including Cypriot/Greek, Italian, Asian, international, Mexican, BBQ, and carvery. There's a broad choice at dinner, while breakfast and lunch are more repetitive, but still acceptable. Service was a letdown. The blonde lady with glasses at Ausonia and the Polish lady at Anastasia were friendly and helpful, while most of the rest seemed as if they didn't want to be there. The rooms are old and worn. Housekeeping varied a lot: for half our stay, the floors were scrubbed, towels changed, and shower gel replenished. With the other cleaner, towels weren't changed, only extra ones were left, so we ended up with six large towels instead of two. Street-facing rooms can get loud music from the bar until 2 a.m., which makes sleep difficult. Evening entertainment was average, with a 30-minute kids' disco followed by a 30-minute adults' disco. Whether I'd recommend it depends on what you want. With children, if you mainly need a room to sleep in and aren't looking for high quality, it may be fine. For time by the pool and beach with drinks, less so, and if quality is your priority, I wouldn't choose it. At standard prices above 7,500 PLN for two people, I don't think it offers good value.

We only went to the water park, not the hotel. Admission was €15 for adults and €10 for children. If you don't have anything else planned, it's an okay place to swim for a few hours.

The slides are old, and the joints scrape painfully. The runout is too shallow too, and I hit my hand coming down. This is a terrible water park, and I wouldn't recommend it.
