Adamos House

The meals were a real highlight of our two-week trip. On half board, dinner came with three dips and bread, a hot starter, a main course, and watermelon, with plenty to choose from. Breakfast was just as good, with a solid range of hot and cold options. The restaurant sits beside the pool, which is a nice size with several sunbeds, and there’s a laid-back feel around the place. Our family of three stayed in August, and even though it was hot, there was a pleasant breeze. The hotel is at the top of Tochni, with lovely views over this small, characterful village. There’s a taverna, shop, and church in the village, and Zigi is about a ten-minute drive away. It’s also roughly halfway between Limassol and Larnaca. We were close to the restaurant and pool in apartments 2A and 3A, which had an adjoining door. We could have fit in one, but having two spacious apartments felt like a treat. They were clean, with nice bathrooms, kitchenettes, and a roomy, fairly private balcony. The family-run place has a warm, easygoing atmosphere. The owner was often around asking if he could help, and his son ran the restaurant’s front of house. Internet was decent. There are no TVs, which we didn’t miss, and other guests seemed friendly and considerate. Quite a few guests were German, and they all seemed nice. The pool hours seemed to be 8 am to 7 pm. We had a great stay, and would happily return. Nearby, we visited a donkey sanctuary, a halloumi-making farm, and Zigi for a beachside seafood lunch.
